Universal commissioned Light Image to produce a high impact presentation for the upcoming movie, The Cat in the Hat, starring Mike Myers.

Each of the well known characters was hand drawn at Light Image and then animated in flash. Using Director as a delivery platform, Light Image produced what has to be one of the best animated presentations of the time.

Each transition involved the Cat or other characters in typical Dr Seuss style. In addition, each section had a number of random idle animations, triggered after a period of inactivity.

Light Image went on to work with Universal on other brands, including the hugely successful children’s character Boo.
